Loftia costs $29.99 (launch price $24.89) and enters Early Access on November 3, 2026 on Windows and Mac. Heartopia is free to start, has been on Steam since January 16, 2026, and is published by XD. They are not the same game with different prices.
French search keeps asking which of these was made first, so I opened both Steam app records. Heartopia’s store date is January 16, 2026, app 4025700, free, with in-app purchases, tagged as a multiplayer life sim. Loftia’s record is still “coming soon,” November 3, 2026, not free. I am not scoring which town feels better. I have the store facts and the Loftia FAQ, and that is the comparison.

Who each one fits
Pick Loftia if you want a paid solarpunk MMO on PC or Mac and you can wait until November 3, 2026, including Early Access bugs. Pick Heartopia if you want to play today without a purchase and you are fine with a free game’s store.
Some r/loftia posts describe leaving Heartopia over gacha, art, or community friction. Those are player accounts, not findings. I am not repeating them as facts about Heartopia’s production.

Heartopia reached Steam on January 16, 2026. Loftia’s Early Access date is November 3, 2026. These are Steam release dates, not dates when development began or the first release in every region.
Is Heartopia the mobile Loftia?
No. Different developer, different price, different release. Loftia has no phone version.
Does Loftia have gacha because Heartopia’s players mention it?
Loftia’s demo page says its cosmetic shop is not gacha. That sentence is about Loftia only.
